My name is Pedro Tec, and I am part of Los Mayas Eternos. We work in the south of Mérida, in 22 communities known as “invasiones,” where many families live in homes made of cardboard, plastic, and other fragile materials. These are areas where access to help is very limited and often overlooked.
In these communities, we provide food, school supplies, and shoes to children and families, and we also help transport children to hospitals when they need medical care. We carry out ongoing support efforts for those who need it most. We currently have a record of more than 2,000 children in these communities.
This Children’s Day, we want to bring them a special celebration with food, toys, and activities—something many of them rarely experience.
With your support, we can create a day filled with joy, dignity, and hope for these children.
