Help Jason Access the Best Possible Treatment Worldwide
My name is Nicholas, and I am the father of a beautiful 14-year-old boy named Jason.
Until only weeks ago, Jason was doing what a 14-year-old boy should be doing — going to school, playing soccer, laughing with his friends and enjoying his childhood.
Then everything changed.
After an incident during soccer, Jason developed double vision. What initially appeared to be an injury became the sign that led us to investigate further.
Scans revealed a small tumour deep in the centre of Jason’s brain, in the pineal region.
After further imaging and investigations, his medical team has told us that they strongly believe the tumour is a central nervous system a rare type of brain tumour affecting children and young people.
As a father, hearing the words brain tumour attached to your child is something I cannot adequately describe.
But I refuse to allow fear to decide what happens next.
We Are Fighting for Jason
Jason is only 14.
He has his entire life ahead of him.
Our family is now investigating every credible treatment option available to him — not only here in Australia, but internationally including proton beam therapy and advanced immunology treatments.
We are seeking opinions from leading neurosurgeons, paediatric neuro-oncology specialists and centres experienced in treating tumours in this extremely delicate part of the brain.
This may mean travelling overseas at very short notice for specialist consultations, further diagnostic testing, surgery if considered appropriate, treatment, hospital care or access to specialised therapies that may not be readily available to us in Australia.
Our goal is simple:
To give Jason access to the very best medical expertise and treatment options available anywhere in the world.
If there is a doctor, hospital or treatment that could give our son a better chance, we want to be able to get him there.
Why We Are Asking for Help
International medical treatment can become extraordinarily expensive.
Funds raised will be used toward Jason’s medical care and the costs necessary to access it, including:
* International specialist consultations and medical opinions
* Neurosurgical assessment.
* Hospital and treatment costs
* Advanced diagnostic and molecular testing
* International treatment or clinical-trial related expenses where appropriate
* Flights and medical travel
* Accommodation while Jason receives treatment
* Medical records, imaging and specialist reviews
* Rehabilitation and follow-up care
* Other necessary expenses directly associated with Jason’s treatment and recovery
We will continue to update everyone as Jason’s diagnosis and treatment plan become clearer we are seeking the very best treatment to avoid short and long term effects associated with current treatments for a growing young boy
Any funds that are not immediately required will remain dedicated to Jason’s medical care, recovery and ongoing treatment needs.
About Jason
Behind all the scans, medical terminology and hospital appointments is simply our boy.
Jason loves soccer.
He loves his family.
He has dreams for his future.
And at 14 years old, he should be thinking about school, his friends and his next soccer game — not hospitals and brain tumours.
Yet through everything that has happened, he has shown extraordinary courage.
Now it is our job as his family to fight just as hard for him.
Our Faith Is Carrying Us
We are a family of faith, and throughout this journey we have placed Jason in God’s hands.
We pray every day that God guides the doctors, opens the right doors and leads us to the people who can help our son.
“For with God nothing shall be impossible.” — Luke 1:37
We believe in prayer.
We believe in hope.
And we believe that while there is a path to pursue for Jason, we will pursue it with everything we have.
Please Help Us Fight for Jason
Asking for help like this is not easy.
But there comes a moment in a parent’s life when pride becomes completely irrelevant.
I am Jason’s father, and I will go anywhere in the world and knock on every door necessary to give my son the best possible chance.
If you can donate, no matter how small the amount, we will be forever grateful.
If you cannot donate, please share Jason’s story. A share may reach a doctor, researcher, hospital, family or person who can help us in a way we cannot yet imagine.
And above everything else, please pray for our boy.
Pray for healing.
Pray for wisdom for his doctors.
Pray that the right doors open.
And pray that one day Jason will look back on this as something he overcame — before getting on with the long and beautiful life that was waiting for him.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing beside Jason and our family.
God bless you.
Nicholas
Jason’s Dad ❤️✝️
