Help 14-Year-Old Fouad Battle a Rare and Severe Rectal Condition
I am a close friend of Fouad’s family, reaching out on their behalf to share the story of their 14-year-old son, Fouad, who lives in Gaza and is facing a rare and serious medical condition.
Several months ago, Fouad began suffering from bright red bleeding after bowel movements. His first endoscopy revealed a rectal ulcer. Over time, however, his condition worsened significantly.
A second endoscopy showed severe inflammation, congestion, and the development of abnormal masses in the rectal muscle about 10 cm from the anal opening. A biopsy confirmed that Fouad is suffering from a rare and severe inflammatory condition.
Despite treatment attempts and continued medical follow-up in Gaza, a third endoscopy revealed that the ulcer is still present and his condition has not improved. The medical situation is complex, painful, and requires specialized care that is not available in Gaza due to the lack of advanced resources.
Doctors have strongly recommended that Fouad be transferred to a specialized medical center in the United States or Europe, where he can receive accurate diagnosis and advanced treatment. Due to his young age and the emotional and physical toll of his illness, his entire family needs to accompany him during what is expected to be a lengthy and difficult treatment journey.
The family cannot afford the high costs of travel, medical care, and accommodation abroad. That’s why I’m sharing Fouad’s story with you, hoping for kindness, compassion, and support.
Every donation—no matter how small—can help save Fouad’s life and give him a future.
Thank you for your generosity
