Yosola is only 13 years old, but she lives every day with pain most adults would struggle to endure.
She has sickle cell disease, and in 2024, her condition worsened when she developed Avascular Necrosis (AVN) of the right hip, a serious and extremely painful condition caused by loss of blood supply to the bone. Over time, the bone weakens and collapses, making simple activities like walking, standing, or sitting unbearable.
Today, Yosola’s childhood looks very different from other children her age.
She lives with constant pain, limited mobility, and the fear that her condition will only get worse without urgent medical intervention.
Doctors have confirmed that hip replacement surgery is urgently needed to relieve her pain and give her the chance to walk freely again, return to school comfortably, and live a life that is not defined by suffering.
The cost of this life-changing surgery is $20,000, a sum that is currently out of reach, but with collective kindness, it becomes possible.
Your donation, no matter the amount, brings Yosola one step closer to:
walking without pain
sleeping through the night
smiling, moving, and living like the child she is
If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this story. A single share could reach the person who helps change her life.
Let’s come together to give Yosola something every child deserves:
a future without constant pain and the ability to walk again.
