From her early days as a 5-year-old gymnast, Sheyma showed incredible focus, discipline, and strength. When she discovered Taekwondo at 8, she found her passion — a sport that matched her spirit of courage and determination.

Even when the pandemic shut the doors of her club, she never gave up. She trained at home, pushed harder, and came back stronger — with one goal: To earn her black belt and compete among the best.

Her progress has been extraordinary:

2023: First gold medal at a regional tournament

2024: Double gold at a Provincial competition

Now, Sheyma has been chosen to participate in the 2026 Canadian national Taekwondo Championships and the Canada Open — and even selected for the 2026 Pan-American Championships in South America.
