Better gymnastics in local community in Indonesia

Hello beautiful people!

My name is Silvia and the reason why I am reaching out today is to gain the funds for gymnastics equipment for a local community in Indonesia.

After spending reasonable time in Bali and raising my own children, I can see great potential in children in Indonesia when it comes to sports. Unfortunately, public schools here don’t have the adequate equipment for gyms. Although after-school sports activities are available it can be quite costly for most to afford.

It has been a year since schools were closed in Indonesia due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Nobody could have imagined a year ago that the school closure would last this long. But here we are.

School children have remained unable to study in classrooms and interact with their friends and teachers. As you can imagine, this has a negative social impact on children in Indonesia. With gymnastics, I would like to help and educate our future generation of Indonesia about the importance of health and sports. Of course with social distancing in place while abiding to COVID-19 rules.

Let us all come together to help these children to reconnect their social activities.

After spending 14 wonderful years in gymnastics halls myself, I realized that I would love for these kids to exprerience the same.

As gymnastics has always been a true passion of mine, for years I have been struggling to figure out on how to fulfil my life long dream which has gymnastics incorporated as well as working with children to help and maintain their health and well being.

One day I woke up and said to myself that it is ok to ask for help, especially if it is meant to be for a good cause. And yes, children are our future and it is important to show them the right path. Any kind of sports and particularly gymnastic is fundamental to our health and wellbeing.

My goals are to build our children's passion for sport, to make it affordable for everyone, to make my classes fun so they can enjoy their time while doing exercise, to build stamina and to hopefully feel the "addictivness" of sports.

I have done a lot of research for the equipment that are needed for my classes.

I plan to source from Indonesia as this won’t be so costly. I was fortunate enough to have found a local supplier with reasonable prices. In comparison to prices in Europe I can get all the adequate equipment that also includes gymnastic instruments for more advanced techniques and practices in half the price.

My gymnastics classes will take place At the local FUZBAL STADIUM in Sanur, which I consider it as a temporary place to practice until I can afford the funds to move into a gym.

Having portable gymnastic equipment will give me the opportunity to bring practices to a higher level as well as the flexibility to move around venues.
