We are coming together to take on a 7km obstacle course called Hell n Back in Bray, Wicklow, in memory of our dear friend and classmate, Freya Fitzpatrick O’Doherty.

Freya was so much more than a Sports Studies student and football player. She was strong, intelligent, outgoing, and unbelievably brave. Even while facing cancer, she showed a courage and determination that inspired everyone who knew her.

To celebrate her life and the strength she embodied, those of us who studied alongside Freya will be taking on this challenge in her name. While this is not an official charity event with Hell and Back (tickets to participate are separate and not included in donations), we are using it as a way to raise funds in Freya’s honor.

All donations will go directly to Óscar’s Kids, the charity chosen by Freya’s family.

Óscar’s Kids is a children’s cancer charity dedicated to supporting families, funding vital research into rare childhood cancers, and bringing joy and comfort to children facing unimaginably tough battles. Their mission is simple but powerful: to ensure no family walks this road alone — a cause that perfectly reflects Freya’s own courage and compassion.
