Hi, my name is Garrison Frosst. I am fundraising to help me get to Regina, Saskatchewan on July 4-6 for the Canadian National Arm Wrestling Championships.
On May 10, which was my 18th birthday, I won the Nova Scotia 18 and under arm wrestling championship, in my first ever arm wrestling competition. This qualified me to compete at Nationals for the Canadian Championship in the 18 and under 70 kg weight class.
When I won the Nova Scotia 18 and under arm wrestling championship, I twice defeated a very experienced arm wrestler who represented Canada in his division at the World Championships in Greece last fall, placing 5th in left hand and 6th in right hand in the world. I feel that I have a chance to win the Canadian Championship.
I started weight training at home when I was 14 during the COVID epidemic and have never stopped. I never thought I would be able to win the provincial arm wrestling championship and am excited I now have an opportunity to compete for the Canadian championship. This is my last year as a junior so it is my only chance to do so.
The cost of registration, flights, hotels, and food for me and the required chaperones (as I am a junior) to compete is over $3000.
I would appreciate any help in the cost of achieving my goal of becoming Canadian champion. I do have an afterschool job and plan to contribute but would appreciate any help I can get.
This is a once-in-a-lifetime chance for me!
Thank you,
Garrison
