Bill from yesterday 21th August / Rechnung von gestern 21.8. :
Bill from yesterday 26th june / Rechnung von gestern 26.6. :
Woof Danke euch allen
Saban
English:
I am Saban, an 11 year old, upbeat husky cross-breed.
I had a rough start in my life, I was picked up as a stray dog in Spain and stayed 6 1/2 years there in a shelter, and I had to watch every day that all my friends were adopted but noone took me.
Nobody has understood that has met me so far, I get along well with all people and dogs, follow on the word and make also otherwise no nonsense.
Then in December 2020 visited me my current dad, we have been together for walkies and have sniffed us times extensively, we found us both well and so I was then allowed to move in shortly before Christmas 2020 with him.
He really does everything for me, but unfortunately there are things that are outside the realm of possibility, if you do not earn thousands of their "treats" in the human world, he goes every day to repair bikes, so that I not miss anything, had also saved for emergencies as I then became one ... but that is now all used up.
At the end of December last year I was then suddenly not so good, I was getting slower and slower, made a lot of breaks when walking and collapsed frequently, had ravenous appetite for everything I could get, even things that I normally do not like....
So we went to the vet but she didn't find anything in spite of a large bloodworks, so I was then referred to the university veterinary hospital for a CT and extended bloodworks.... At that time, I could not even stand or walk by myself anymore.
There came the news where dad then collapsed himself and suddenly got wet eyes, and our friends who have accompanied us also...
Diagnosis "insulinoma" on the pancreas, a type of tumor that constantly produces insulin and thus no more sugar comes to the muscles or nerve cells and these can be damaged....
They said to dad, my chances to survive this -in my condition- is less then 5%, dad did not think long and said, they should do everything what can be done.
After 3 hours of surgery I got at least the good news for my dad that I survived. Now I had to stay 1 whole week in the intensive care unit where dad visited me every day after work.
When I was finally allowed to go home again, Dad was able to settle the bill thanks to his friends who had put together - they collected 13k of their human "treats" for it.
The doctor then said that I will need medicine (Palladia) every month for the rest of my life and also a big bloodworks every month, because the medicine is very strong and it can change quickly. This costs +/- 1k of human "treats" every month, the doctor said to Dad, but then instead of 3-4 months, I have 2 years and more where I can enjoy the sun.
In the time until now, Dad has had a lot of patience and done many exercises with me and with a walker me always half carried to learn to walk again ... I can now for 3 months again all alone.
Now Dad's "treats" and those of our friends used up and I therefore ask - as I like to do for treats - YOU whether you can help Dad and me with people "treats" or just share my story, so that I can also still experience the next summer.
*Woof* thank you all
