On the 11th of May, I will be running the Luxembourg Half-Marathon in support of the Ilula Orphan Program (IOP), a charity that is very close to my heart, based in Ilula, Tanzania.

At the heart of IOP 's mission is the belief that every individual, regardless of their circumstances, deserves access to quality education, counselling, and socioeconomic empowerment and tey have been changing lives in Tanzania for more than 20 years, driven by the desire to make a profound impact on the lives of those in need.

From providing safe homes and educational opportunities for orphaned children to empowering women to create sustainable livelihoods, their programs have touched the lives of many.

Their Vision: A healthy, educated, economically empowered, and socially developed Tanzanian community.

Their Mission: To provide opportunities for quality education, counselling, and socioeconomic empowerment with a special emphasis on marginalized communities to eliminate discrimination and create sustainable communities.
