I’ve decided to make a big change - and it’s all for a cause that truly touches my heart.

Very soon, I’ll be cutting and donating my hair to the Little Princess Trust, an amazing charity that provides real hair wigs free of charge to children and young people who have lost their hair due to cancer or other medical conditions. In addition to this they fund vital research aiming to deliver for efficient and kinder treatments for children and young people.

But I don’t want to stop there.

In addition to donating my hair, I’m also aiming to raise funds to help the charity cover the cost of creating and fitting these wigs, which can be as much as £700 per wig. Every penny raised here will go straight to the Little Princess Trust to support more children going through incredibly tough times.

‍Why this matters to me:

Hair is something many of us take for granted, but for a child facing hair loss, it can impact their confidence, identity, and mental health. Donating my hair is a small act that I hope will make a big difference.

As a parent, especially to a daughter with the most beautiful curly hair, the thought of her - or any of my children - going through an illness that could take away something so personal and confidence-building is something that truly shakes me. That fear, that empathy, is what’s driven me to do something to help those who are already facing that reality.

My fundraising goal is £700. No amount is too small — whether it’s £2 or £20, your support means everything.
