Helen Smart (nee Don-Duncan)

On Saturday 12th August, our beautiful Helen fell asleep for the last time. Helen was a wonderful Mummy, loving wife, much-loved daughter and amazing big sister as well as many other things.

It has become apparent over this extremely difficult week how many lives Helen touched and how much she meant to many, many people.

Helen was an accomplished athlete, a talented musician and a fantastic & proud teacher, who has clearly made an impression on a lot of people over her career as a teacher and more recently as Headteacher.

Helen loved the Lake District; for swimming, walking with the dogs, fell running, camping and even getting married there.

We would love to be able to create a wonderful memorial space for people to be able to visit and think of Helen, take a selfie (as Helen loved to do) or just spend time with your family in a place that Helen loved.

If you would like to donate any amount in Helen's memory, we will make sure that we do something special and create a wonderful memorial for Helen.

There will also be an option to donate, in person, on the date of Helen's funeral.
