Helen Skuggedal Reed Memorial Commissioning Fund

The purpose of this GoFundMe is to create the Helen Skuggedal Reed Memorial Commissioning Fund. The purpose of this fund will be the commissioning of new works by composers in one or more of the following groups: women, minorities, underserved. Special consideration will be given to works including keyboard instruments other than piano — harpsichord, organ, accordion, clavichord, etc. Special consideration will also be given to Canadian and Norwegian composers.

On this, the 3rd anniversary of her passing, I am inspired by her strength in the face of adversity, her perseverance, and most of all, her love of music. My hope is that this love continues to manifest in wonderful new compositions, and in the hearts of the composers that create them.
