Hi, my name is Theresa. Thank you for visiting our page. Helen is a mum extraordinaire. She has raised two beautiful teenage daughters on her own for a long time. The breast cancer diagnosis came as a massive surprise that knocked her off her feet.

The hard part with cancer is that you are only entitled to so much leave, sick leave and probably the goodwill of the company you work for. Hel has now reached the stage where even the pre-operation appointments have consumed her leave and sick leave. She still has to keep the roof over her head, feed her girls and crosses her fingers every time she gets into her car that has 330 000kms on the clock and prays she makes it to the next appointment or school drop off.

Mastectomies, radiation and chemo will commence from mid March. I don't know how this girl keeps the smile on her face despite the journey ahead.
