Health care in Witch Camps
Donation protected
Dear friends,
Thank you so much for your past support of my yearly fundraiser for women living in the so-called "witch camps" of Northern Ghana.
These women have been forced from their home villages after being accused of witchcraft. They now live in a kind of exile, often for many years, in camps that offer little more than bare survival.
During my visits to the camps, I’ve had the chance to meet many of the women personally, as well as my friend Banabas Dalabra, who leads the local NGO Outcast Support Project (OSP). Banabas is a kind and deeply committed person, working tirelessly to support the women — providing food, basic necessities, and, when possible, helping them return safely to their communities.
Your generosity in past years has helped us provide sleeping mats, rice, and yams for the women — as well as shoes and schoolbooks for the children who live in the camps with their mothers.
This year, we are raising funds to provide health check-ups for all the women. Many of them are elderly and rely on whatever they can gather or trade in local markets. Access to basic healthcare is urgently needed.
Any extra funds raised will go toward food and essential supplies for the camps.
If you can, please consider donating or sharing this fundraiser. Every contribution makes a real difference.
With gratitude,
Emil & Banabas
