My name is Amy and this is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write. I’ve always been the one who gives, the one who helps when someone is in need — whether it was supporting schools, pitching in for cause, or stepping up for a friend. Asking for help does not come naturally to me. But right now, my family is in a place where we cannot do this alone.

These past two years have been one of the hardest of our lives. I have medical needs that come with constant doctor visits, treatments, medications, copays , and bills. My husband faces his own health struggles, making worse by stress. Our family has also been dealing with sickness and challenges that have taken a toll emotionally and financially.

In addition to caring for my family, I am unable to work as a dental hygienist at this time. However, I want to keep my license up to date. The cost of new licensing, combined with ongoing training and certification, adds to the financial strain we’re facing, but it’s essential for me to continue to keep my license updated.

I’ve tried so hard to be strong, to hold everything together for my family. But the truth is, I can’t keep doing it on my own. We need help — not just for me, but for the husband and son who depend on me to keep their world steady.
