As you know, Heidi loved to be out in nature; hiking, gardening, feeding the birds, or on a bench "with her nose in a book" as Henry would say.   She shared this joy with her husband and family as often as possible. To commemorate her life and love of nature, we will be dedicating  a tree and bench in her name at a local park in hopes that others will also share in her joy. 

In lieu of flowers or a traditional service, we will have a ceremony and celebration of her life at the park once the project is complete (likely this fall). Stay tuned for details. 

Your donations will support the fees associated with this project. Any donations in excess of the goal will be sent to the underfunded National Parks Foundation in her name.

--->Update 6/26- We are in discussion with the local park authority and met today with the local Arborist at the park. Due to the overwhelming and generous donations we are receiving we should be able to make a beautiful memorial and still have excess to send to the National Parks. (Note, I have increased our initial goal to cover the project now that fees are known.)
