A lot of you may remember that over the summer, Heidi was actively assisting her mother through every facet of her battle with cancer; all the while looking for employment. And, although her mother's battle is not fully over, fortunately she is recovering, and Heidi did find a viable position.

Unfortunately, only 3 weeks into her new job, Heidi had to be hospitalized. After going to the ER doctors found a mass on her pituitary gland. Whether the mass is benign or malignant is still not fully clear, but the doctors have concluded that they need to remove it as quickly possible. Heidi cannot work as her pressure from the mass is causing her vision and blood flow to be severely affected as well as being the source of severe migraines.

Surgery had originally been scheduled for Friday, Oct 13th, five days after she was admitted. That was then postponed to Mon, Oct 16th, but her skyrocketing blood pressure forced the surgery to be postponed yet again.

Now surgery looks like it will be November 1, once the medications regulate the situation. Needless to say, her new job could not hold her position open this long, so she has sadly lost her job. They really like Heidi and apparently there's a possibility she might be able to return in a different capacity. Recovery time will be somewhere between 2-6 weeks (not including follow up appointments) Beginning November.

Heidi's resources have dried up and she is now in a precarious position that once again requires the support of her friends and family. She had just paid all her bills for October, but November is quickly approaching.

Stress has been her number one enemy so anything you can contribute to help relieve her, especially in her current condition, is very appreciated.
