Heidi's Pink Van
My late wife Heidi died of metastasied breast cancer after having battled it for nearly eight years. At hospital, she had asked me to continue realising our projects, which is why you are reading this.
South Africa had grown to be Heidi's second home in the past 25 years, taking her Law masters down there, but also later doing several of sports & culture projects in Cape Town, but also Johannesburg, Durban, etc.
She wrote her masters thesis on the Truth Commission , was a member of the Nelson Mandela Foundation , who she did a project for, and exhibited at the Open Design Festival , amongst others.
Since being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2013, Heidi had also spent a lot of time helping other breast cancer patients in need, particularly by creating and realising awareness and prevention projects.
To continue her work, we are supporting PinkDrive , a non-governmental initiative providing free gender-based cancer screening services to all the medically uninsured in South Africa. All funds received are from donations.
In Heidi's memory, I have also reunited our band Elm Row after 20 years to compose and record a new, fifth album. This 13-song album called "Blue Dragonfly" is an add-on to your donation! Have a peak at the album -> Blue Dragonfly Audio Clips
