Heidi’s Hope: Her Fight Against Ovarian Cancer

To the friends and family of Heidi Muus:

 

Hi my name is Taylor, I’m the eldest and only daughter of the sweet Heidi. If you know my mom, you know she is the most selfless person you will ever meet. She is a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, friend and teacher.

 

One day Heidi woke up with extreme abdominal pain, she decided to go to the emergency room. The ER doctor informed her after reviewing her scan that she would need to see her OB-GYN.

 

After countless doctor appointments, tests and a trip to Mayo Clinic, on February 7th, 2022, Heidi was diagnosed with stage four ovarian cancer.

 

Heidi’s plan moving forward is chemotherapy then hopefully a major operation to remove a significant amount of the cancer. Unfortunately the cancer has metastasized to vital organs so she is unable to have an operation until the cancer shrinks.

 

Our family has started this fundraiser for people to assist Heidi financially in the fight of her life. All donation proceeds will go towards out of pocket costs for all doctor visits, chemotherapy, prescriptions, travel/hotel costs, operations and more. As Heidi has not worked since her diagnoses and is not going to be working for the time being (she misses her class so much!).
