Hi, I'm Heidi! A 38 year old mother, wife, and business owner who discovered her own breast cancer. Unfortunately my road to recovery is not as easy as we had originally hoped or were told! My cancer was easily missed when I first had imaging done and then by 6 months later it had grown and already spread. I am not giving up and fighting for more than just hormone therapy, I am fighting for the treatment that I want!

I have grade 1 invasive ductal carcinoma with musinous features stage IV metastatic cancer. I was told this cancer isn't even supposed to spread and if it does, it would be so rare and so slow to spread...well here we are it has spread and is not acting as a slow growing lazy cancer like the doctors say it should. With the cancer not acting how it typically would, I feel it's important to push for different treatment as I feel my body and cancer is not the typical case!
