Heidi was diagnosed on September 7th, 2015 with  Gastric (stomach) Cancer. This has come as a total shock, as she is young and otherwise healthy.  Anyone who has ever met Heidi has been amused by her humor and outgoing personality. She is an incredible Mother, Wife, Daughter, and Sister. Heidi’s number one priority is her children, always putting them before anything else. She is a loving Auntie to all of her nieces and nephews and enjoys spending time with them; watching them play, snuggling and sneaking the youngest M & M’s so that she maintains her “favorite auntie” title. She is a fiercely loyal friend and has been blessed with some of the greatest friends anyone could ever ask for. Heidi has been a teacher for the last 18 years, dedicating herself as a Reading Specialist to children, as well as tutoring in her spare time.  Last year, she was named "Teacher of the Year" in her district! While undergoing intense Chemotherapy, Heidi has been unable to work since September. Her last paycheck and benefits will end as of December 1st. Any support from friends and family will go towards paying her insurance premiums, to continue her coverage, and any uncovered medical expenses. She has been so courageous during this difficult time and is fighting to remain strong for her 3 daughters, Jenna (14), Becca (13), Emma (11) and her loving husband, Tony.  Please continue to keep Heidi and her family in your thoughts and prayers.
