Help Heidi Fight Cancer Diagnosis.
If you know Heidi, you know she is a beaming light of love. She is the kind of person who will, no matter what, always lift you up through positivity and encouraging words of God. Her elegance, silliness, and humbled heart is what makes her who we all love and adore. We sit and write this to say that it is our turn to be the light in Heidi's life. It is our time to lift her up and encourage her. Heidi needs our help.
Some of you may or may not know that over the past 2.5 months Heidi has been ill with numerous COVID-19 symptoms. Due to these symptoms, on March 13th, Heidi was told by her doctor and her employer to immediately quarantine. After the start of her quarantine, the severity of the virus in the area in which Heidi lives (Blaine county), the shelter in place orders, and the shutdown of the economy have made the overall situation extremely difficult. These events coupled with her sickness has made it so that she has been unable to work. She applied for unemployment, but was told she did not qualify because she was sick before she was laid off from her job. She is currently appealing this decision however, it is a long process. Thankfully, these last few months she has been able to provide for herself with the support of her savings and generous, caring friends.
The Corona Virus symptoms have continued and at times she continues to struggle with her breathing. The latest development regarding Heidi’s health is that she has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
It is our desire, with help from you, to support Heidi through the health challenges she has faced and will continue to face with this new diagnosis. We are asking for prayer, help with practical service such as transport to medical appointments and meals, as well as financial donations to cover the medical and living expenses she will encounter. Heidi does have health insurance however, this will not cover all of her medical expenses. The surgeons said that her treatment plan would be a year long journey, which would be extremely costly. Heidi’s fundraising team will be open to all donations- one time donations or monthly recurring contributions. Every donation helps no matter how small and they are all greatly appreciated.
Despite the hardships, Heidi is full of faith, as many of us are, and is expecting a complete healing. We want to be sensitive to declare life and healing over her consistently. We continually pray towards the end of this cancer diagnosis. She has specifically requested that people not say that she has cancer but that it is only a diagnosis.
