I'm setting up this go fund me page to help raise money for Heidi and her medical bills. As many of you know, she's been in the hospital since mid July and most of that time has been in ICU. 

Heidi was diagnosed with covid on July 2nd and shortly after that was admitted to the hospital. First for a couple days, then readmitted for a week before being transferred to Abbott. She was transferred out of Abbott to Regency for a couple days before going back to Abbott on September 4th. This also marks the day Heidi and her family together made the decision to give her body and lungs a break; to be intubated and go on the vent. Heidi is the strongest, bravest woman I know and this decision was made knowing she wouldn't be able to talk to her family or friends for at least a month, that was 4 weeks ago. On September 24th Heidi was given a trach, making her more comfortable and able to give her body the rest it needs to heal. Todd and the kids have been able to visit Heidi but only 1 at a time and only 1 visitor a day. They've started doing breathing trials in hopes of weaning her off the vent. These trials take a lot of energy for Heidi and she's more tired but rests well and is slowly improving daily. Some days she sleeps most of the time and some days she's very awake and alert.

Heidi has a long road to recovery so any help, thought and prayers are very much appreciated.

To get through the hardest journey we need take only one step at a time, but we must keep on stepping.
