As most of you know my friend of 30 plus years and co-worker of Akorn Pharmaceutical for 10 years , Heidi Taylor has had to face the biggest fearing challenges in her life. Heidi had been going through some health problems for several months that lead to surgery. Sept. 1, 2022 she went in for surgery & came out devastated with family surrounded. Heidi was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer. The cancer had spread to both ovaries, uterus, fallopian tubes, pelvis, & lymphnodes throughout her entire body. Heidi us currently going through IV chemotherapy. Her doctor has 6 treatments scheduled, which she gets 1 every 3-4 weeks depending how her body is reacting. Heidi is halfway. Doctor plans on doing a body scan towards end of last treatment and at that time will decide if anymore treatments need to be added.

Genetic testing also came back positive. Highest bracket was in breast cancer. She will face more battles due to this and will have to take 2 chemo pills for the rest of her life and make the decision whether to have a mastectomy to avoid getting breast cancer.

This has all taken a toll on her and her husband emotionally, physically, and financially. Heidi is one of a kind with a kind heart. She has took on one of her grandchildren full-time for the last 4 1/2 years and all the other grandchildren are her life. She has always worked many hours to make sure everyone and everything is taken care of. Heidi is never the one to ask for help but I know what she is going through. Hospital and doctor bills are piling up along with normal bills and everyday necessities, along with the rising cost of health insurance.

I'm asking if you can give anything at all we appreciate it, and if not could you please keep her and her family in your prayers, her grandchildren need her. I have faith she will be healed and get through this storm of health problems..
