UPDATE:
Heidi just recently had biopsies done this week and the results indicated she has new cancerous tumors in her back and neck. They are not able to give her any more chemo and therefore need to start her on immunotherapy. However, she does not have the funds to get started. She is currently in need of $2,175 in order to start immunotherapy and once she reaches that number she will have reached her out-of-pocket deductible. Please consider helping Heidi reach her goal! And please continue to pray for her and her family.
BACKGROUND:
Heidi was diagnosed with stage 4 aggressive and malignant binary tract cancer in August of 2018. It has now metastasized into her gallbladder, liver, diaphragm, right lung, and surrounding lymph nodes. On January 6th 2020 Heidi will have completed 24 chemotherapy infusions which hopefully will restful in shrinkage and stability of the tumors. If the results are what she hopes for she will undergo surgery in February to remove gallbladder and part of her liver.
The chemotherapy treatments have caused extremely detrimental side effects to Heidi's body. She continues to lose physical strength and stamina on a daily basis. She suffers from extreme fatigue, tremors, vision problems, and neuropathy. She has not been able to fulfill all the duties of her job and has had to call on friends to assist and help with the work load. Heidi's visual impairments have made driving impossible and so she must rely on the help of others to assist her with getting her to appointments and on other errands.
The expense of these treatments are both cumulative and expansive. As Heidi becomes weaker she is less and less able to take care of her responsibilities financially and otherwise. Heidi has reached a point where she has exhausted all of her financial resources, yet the the responsibilities and medical bills continue.
Heidi is a devoted believer in God, she has placed her trust in the Lord and her hope and desire is for more time to invest in the lives of her 4 grandchildren. Additionally, her son needs her love and support with the challenges he faces everyday. Any amount of help would be so much appreciated. Please consider giving to Heidi and to her family.
