This is an invitation to give your support and positive vibes to Heidi Carsey.
They say that “it takes a village to raise a kid”, well I’ve been fortunate to have Heidi Carsey in my village. She was always like a second mom to me growing up; she fed me a lot of food, drove me a lot of places, and dealt with the ruckus that I caused. All of the support she gave me over the years played a role in my development, so I have to take this opportunity to give her my support.
As you may know Heidi and her family are confronting cancer head on right now. She’s had surgery, she’s fought through six chemo sessions already, and has six sessions remaining. Those twelve chemo sessions will put her on the road to a full recovery.
To give my support I’m performing a project on 8/20/20. I will be running as far as I can in twelve hours. Each hour represents one of her chemo sessions that she’s fighting through. I will start running at 9 am on Thursday 8/20/20 and finish at 9 pm.
The Carsey’s didn’t ask me to do this project, I planned it on my own. I just know there are many people who would like an opportunity to give back to Heidi and her family and to give them support and positive energy.
The goal is to raise $12,000 to cover Heidi‘s out-of-pocket medical bills and that’s where you come in. We’re taking pledges for each mile ran:
$00.50 per mile (about $25)
$1.00 per mile (about $50)
$5.00 per mile (about $250)

Note: I plan on running 50 + miles during the twelve hours.
We understand that not everyone will be in a position to give monetarily so we want to give you another way to show your love and support for Heidi. Please notate your message of love and support for Heidi in the comments section; we’re going to take all the messages and create a small gift for Heidi so she can feel all the positive energy from her friends, family, and acquaintances.
Once again, this is about giving back to Heidi Carsey. Heidi, If you’re reading this please don’t be mad that I did this without asking you. Just sit back and soak in the love and positive energy that so many feel toward you.
