Dear Friends and Family,

I hope this email reaches you well. Given  this time a year I felt it a good time to reach out to everyone to update y’all on my life as well as to ask a favor!

About a year ago, I packed up my Hyundai Elantra and embarked on a three day road trip to Ocala, Florida. I have spent the last year of my life riding horses with Olympic veterans David and Karen O’Connor. I had the privilege of driving through the gates of the O’Connor Event Team last winter, due to nothing less then a stroke of luck and a act of God. I didn’t know it then but this was the beginning on the best adventure in my life thus far. Wintering in Florida, moving to Virginia for the summer with the team, and now back in Florida, I can honestly say these have been the best months of my life. A switch went off somewhere in my mind on the top of the Mars mountains in northern Virginia this summer. I started to see greatness. Not in myself really, but the people I was surrounded by. They might not be the most famous in all the world, but they are in my sport. Living, riding, working in an environment full of people who have reached the pinnacle of success in their chosen occupation is both inspiring and oh so humbling. I had to learn, grow up, and become a student of greatness if I want a chance at achieving it. Everyday I choose to do this and everyday I watch myself becoming a better me, in my sport, in my character, and in my relationships with those around me.

Over the past year have been training my horse Pi. Pi was a racing thoroughbred from Virginia that my parents purchased for me after my last horse tragically passed away in a freak accident. He has been a great horse for me, but is unable to do all that I want to do in this sport. Now as Pi sells, I need to buy and train another horse. This is when I loop in my people, my support system, and my fellow greatness chasers.

There are six levels of eventing. I have had the opportunity to own and ride horses capable through the third level. I am now at a place in my riding career where I am looking for a partner that can help me break into the upper levels of eventing and that is a huge financial commitment. I am hoping to purchase a horse early this 2019, and my budget is $30,000. As of christmas time I will have two thirds of that saved from selling Pi and working at Caribou Coffee, Jimmy Johns, Taco Bell, River Valley Vet Clinic, Starbucks, nannying, American Eagle, and exercising horses. I am asking for help to raise the last portion of my budget. This will allow me to focus more on school which is a high priority for me as well.

As I ask you to contribute to my success I feel I owe it to you to tell you where I plan on going with this! I will be starting classes at Southeastern University in Florida this spring. I found a way to do full time online and nighttime college through SEU and this spring I will have a full class load studying business. There’s an opportunity in front of me to produce a solid upper level eventing horse with the O’Connor Event Team - or go school full time. But anybody who knows me knows I don’t like making compromises! Together, I’ll be able to produce this next horse as well as go to school full time.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, to everyone who has taken the time to read this. I am so honored to have such incredible people in my life. Regardless of what comes from this, I just wanted to take a sincere moment to tell all of you how blessed I feel to share a life with so many wonderful human beings!

THANK YOU ALL and have a very blessed holiday season!!
