Hefner, our baby, was diagnosed with cancer this week. His back leg is swollen to over twice its size. He is being treated at University of Illinois where they will perform a CT scan to check the progression and location of the sarcoma and then an amputation of his back leg. The doctors are planning on moving ahead with everything this week. He will need therapy and possible assistive devices after the surgery.
We are doing everything we can to make him comfortable and continue to feel our immense love for him. If you have met this bulldog, you know that he is a lover and has never met anyone he didn't like. He has brightened so many dark days and will hopefully continue to do so for years to come. He can fill a heart with so much love with just one look at his adorable, wrinkly face. We don't know what we would do without him and every penny is helpful to get him the treatment and any tools he may need. Thank you so much.
