My grandparents, Janice and John Heflin, need our help. They haven't solicited this help nor have they shared this with their closest friends and family. My mom and I learned about their struggle this week through a family-friend who is related to the situation that they now find themselves in.

A few years ago my grandparents were given a home to live in. The only expenses related to this home was utilities...or so they thought. To make a long story short, there was miscommunication about who was responsible for paying taxes on the home since the home was never legally transferred to their name (even despite their best efforts to make this happen). 

If my grandparents don't raise $1,900 to pay the balance of their property taxes in just a few short months, they will lose their home. 

A few fast facts about my grandparents:
* They are retired & living only on retirement income
*They are the most selfless individuals on the planet
*They've helped more people than I've met in my lifetime and have never asked for help in return.
