My name is Mitchell Hurricane Smith (yes Hurricane is my real middle name). I started GBF Productions as a way to bring provactive and poignant entertaiment to Midland, TX.
For its first production, I have chosen to produce and star in Hedwig and the Angry Inch. This sensational rock musical will be challenging to very many people in the area especially since transgender rights have become a hot button issue and will be a great way to start a serious dialogue about the humanity of the queer community.
My goal is to raise $3000 to cover production cost, including paying for the rights, band member salaries, and set and costume pieces.
My goal is to raise the money by my 41st birthday on August 21.
As a young man who grew up in Kansas (not far from Fort Riley), Hedwig and the Angry Inch has held a special place in my heart for almost two decades now.
2016 has truly been an exceptional year for me. I married my partner in June after nearly 17 years together, and I was given several acting opportunities including playing Albin in La Cage and Sweeney Todd. I can't image a better way to end it.
