This Spring, I will be attending the CUNY Graduate Center to pursue a Master’s Degree in Gender Studies and I am reaching out asking for support to cover my tuition.

My higher education journey has been abit unorthodox.

I am an immigrant from Colombia who has DACA. I am allowed to work legally however my immigration status bars me from accessing programs the Federal Programs that help pay for school.

I paid my way through an Associates. Then, thanks to the Dream.US Scholarship, I was able to graduate from Hunter College with a Bachelor’s in Sociology.

I aspire to be Doctorate Student working to actively participating in the shaping of a more just present. This program is a stepping stone toward that dream. In it, I’ll be able to obtain the theoretical foundation and develop my scholarship so that I can apply for a PhD program in the coming years.
