My name is Lorenz Skeeter and I am one of many grieving friends of Hector Roman. Hector died tragically after being struck by a train in NYC on March 29th.  The police investigation is still ongoing. The amount raised will go directly to Hector Roman’s sister and brother in law to help cover the remaining funeral expenses.  Here is a brief story that appeared on NY1 website:

Hector Roman was just 38 years old and full of love and life. He first priority was his 92-year-old grandmother, he wanted her to have the best life she could have and he happily did everything imaginably for her. There are many people that cross one's path in life, but very few that you would choose to keep for life. Roman was a friend for life. He always looked to the bright side of things and always sought the best in everyone. Loyalty wasn’t just a word to him-it was him.
