Hector Garcia is a physical therapy patient of mine. He is a resident of San Francisco who used to run a coffee shop as a manager 15 years. Hector became badly injured in a ride-share motor vehicle accident. He sustained neck, lower back and severe dominant right shoulder and arm injuries on 8/31/2019 riding as a passenger.  Hector lost his job, and subsequently underwent complex shoulder surgical intervention on 5/2/2020. Hector had physical therapy treatment but continues to be in pain, is unable to work, cannot drive, and is suffering with daily physical pain with ongoing dysfunction.  Hector always helped his family in Jalisco, Mexico, when he had extra income. Hector's Mother became extremely ill, now is in critical condition in Mexico, needs frequent blood transfusions, and she now requires costly medical care at another hospital, which will be more costly. Hector had over 9 job interviews, but was not hired because of his legal status and ongoing severe injuries. Hector feels desperate to help his infirmed Mother who needed her small intestines resected, and needs additional surgeries with ongoing costly blood transfusions.  Hector is trying to do everything possible to help his Mother.  As his physical therapist (Marc Rabideau), I offered to help post a plea for assistance on a formal Go-Fund-Me site.  Hector was hesitant to ask for help, as he has always been able to handle his own financial problems. But this current situation is dire, and Hector needs help from anyone who is able to assist his Mother with her additional substantial medical care.  The current situation is truly urgent, as his Mother needs more surgical intervention, and the cost of this for Hector's family is exorbitant and has taken all their savings and financial means already. Going forward Hector wants his Mother to receive the medical care she needs so urgently. I know for a fact that Hector would be exceedingly appreciative for any financial assistance to help his Mother's suffering. She needs more costly medical care, and continues to receive blood transfusions on an ongoing basis at present. Hector continues to be very worried about his Mother's condition, and would be grateful for any amount of financial aide any friends would be able to provide for his critically ill Mother, with her dire current situation at hand, and the "clock ticking" in terms of medical needs happening now at the present time.
