On September 18th, our beloved friend was unable to make it home to his family. No one would have ever imagined this hardworking husband and loving father would become a victim of gang violence. While driving home, he was shot multiple times, because he was mistaken for being someone else. As a result of being in the wrong place at the wrong time, our friend is now fighting for his life.
Everyone who has ever known, Hector, can say that he is one of the most selfless and loving individual you will ever meet. He will literally give his shirt off his back if you ever needed it. He has given so much to his loved ones and to his community that now is our chance and our turn to be there for him.
Hector is a husband, a father, a grandfather, a friend, and the sole provider of his household. Not only does his family have to worry if he will make it through this tragedy in the midst of this horrible pandemic, but now they have to worry about the roof over their head, food to feed their family, and the medical bills that are piling up.
