Help the Hebrew Hammer Smash Cancer

Donation protected
Let us start by saying that you are not allowed to talk to the person being spoken about in this story. He has given us strict instructions to not tell anyone because he just isn’t ready to talk to people about what is going on, so PLEASE, we ask that you do what you can to help him, but not tell him what is going on just yet.

James Israilov, (known to many as Izzy) was diagnosed with cancer on Sunday, March 15th.  For those of you who know him, we don’t need to tell you the type of person Izzy is. For those of you who don’t know him, please give us a moment to tell you.

Izzy is the best type of friend you can have. He is cool to stay in and play hours of video games (Old N64 or new PS3). He is the first one to want to get up and go out with everyone for the night, especially if it is to go see Milk Money play. He is awesome to go to Yankee games with. He’s the best to watch How I Met Your Mother and New Girl with. He’ll take you to your first hockey game and make sure the Rangers score 75 goals in one night. He’ll make sure you don’t see any movie trailers so that the movie isn’t ruined for you. He’ll tell your family that if they need anything when you are away to let him know, and then actually check in on them. He’s there if you need someone to talk to. He is the type of guy that if he had only one shirt to his name and you needed it, he would take it right off his back and give it to you.

He is one of the best people we know and probably the last person in the world who deserves to have cancer. That is why we are doing this. We are going to start out by raising at least $6,000 (even though we know we can all do way better than that!) We’re just making the starting point $6000 because 6 is Izzy’s baseball number and it just seems fitting, but we would love to blow that number out of the water!

It is going to be a long road of surgeries and chemotherapy and more surgeries, so let’s make this road as little of a financial burden as possible for him…

Again PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, as much as you want you to reach out to him, please let him be for the time being and let this gesture from everyone speak for itself. Thank you for your time and your contribution,

Nick and Chris
