Help Heba Bregheith Bring Hearing Back to Her Community

Hi everyone,

I’m launching this campaign for an extraordinary young woman from Palestine, Heba Bregheith, who has dedicated her life to helping people hear again. Heba is the dear sister of my good friend Deena who I was so blessed to meet and connect with during her studies in the US.

Heba is a clinical audiologist from Hebron, Palestine, where she has spent the past few years working with children, elderly patients, and individuals with hearing loss and balance disorders. She does this work in one of the most challenging environments imaginable: limited resources, difficult access to medical technologies, and constant obstacles. And yet, she’s never given up. Her compassion and determination led her to become team leader of her audiology department at a young age, something truly rare in her field.

This year, Heba was awarded a competitive, full-tuition scholarship to pursue her Master’s in Audiology at the University of Southampton in the UK, one of the top programs in the world. It’s a life-changing opportunity.

But there’s a catch: The scholarship only covers tuition. Heba still needs to raise £18,000 to cover her living expenses for one year: housing, transport, food, health insurance, and essential academic needs. Unfortunately, due to restrictions in Palestine, Heba cannot open a GoFundMe page herself. So, I’m doing this for her.

A Message from Heba:

"Every day, I meet people, especially children, who live in silence. I’ve seen a child’s eyes light up the first time they hear their mother’s voice. That moment is everything to me. I want to learn the best global practices and bring them back to my country, where they’re needed most."

This is more than just a degree. It’s a mission to build a future where no child in Palestine is left unheard. Heba’s dream is to return home after her studies and build better hearing healthcare systems, train future audiologists, and offer advanced care to underserved communities.
