My shopmate and owner of Black Koi Studio, Heather Hanlon, has been forced into early maternity leave due to complications with preeclampsia at 30 weeks pregnant. Faced with a lengthy hospital stay from now until the baby arrives, doctors at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison are doing everything they can to keep the baby in as long as possible while keeping Heather safe. Heather will be pretty much bedridden until the baby arrives, and due to her condition and the rest required, she will be unable to supplement her lost income at this time.
Heather and her partner, Josh Jaynes, have been working tirelessly to save up for whatever parental leave they could manage, but now faced with some serious financial burdens, parental leave after the baby arrives is becoming more challenging by the moment.
Heather is a very independent, kind, and strong-willed woman who never asks for anything but is always willing to extend a helping hand. I am so very grateful for the space Heather has made for me in turning her private studio into a shared space and have treasured our last year and a half together. I can only hope to return her generosity and kindness.
So please join me in donating to Heather and Josh to give them some financial relief during this uncertain time.
Welcome to the world,
Cooper Cohen Jaynes!

I am still in awe Someone just had to take my 'cant wait to meet you' literally and just didnt want to stay in any longer! I still cant believe everything that has happened in the last 24 hours
Baby Boy arrived 8 weeks early and will be staying in the NICU for awhile. Petite lil guy has some growing and developing still left to do.
Please help them offset cost of impending bills, missed work, and gas spent driving back and forth from Fall River and Madison every day.
