Hello, my name is Heather Gilbert. I'm 42 years old and was recently diagnosed with stage 4 bone cancer, which is an incurable cancer but can be treated to a level.

I am asking for help for some of my last month's bills like rent and this month's rent since I've been out of work for 2 months. I've used all my savings already and am still behind, and each day I fall further behind. Yes, I have applied for SSI, but as many know, that's a process and takes time, and the last thing I need is to be homeless. Any help would be appreciated at all; no amounts are too small. I hate to even ask; I'd rather be the one helping, to be honest.
