Sweet Winds: A Medicine Music Project

Hello, friend — welcome!

For as long as I can remember, music has been a huge part of my life — from singing country music in the car with my dad and Motown with my mom, to choir competitions in high school, to offering songs as prayer with dear friends. Music has truly been the love of my life. As a little girl, I dreamed of recording music, but I never imagined I’d be able to write songs of my own, let alone record them. After some deeply transformative years, I’m finally stepping into the dream of recording music.

For many years, I served in the healthcare world. While the pandemic impacted all of us in different ways, it became a personal turning point — one that led me to the realization that my path of service was shifting. Though that chapter brought deep meaning, it also brought burnout, and I knew it was time to explore a new way of offering myself to the world. These last four years have shown me, again and again, that music is truly medicine. The songs I’m sharing have been my own medicine — arriving in moments of prayer, ceremony, stillness, and healing. They’ve held me through transition and helped me remember who I am. And now, they’re ready to be offered to the world — with the hope that they meet you where you are, and serve as a balm to the soul.

To bring this dream to life in the way it deserves, I’m humbly reaching out for support. Recording music — especially for the first time — requires not only creativity and heart, but also resources. Studio time, sound engineering, musician collaboration, mixing, mastering, and distribution all come with real costs.

If you feel moved by this offering — whether we’ve crossed paths in ceremony, in community, or you simply believe in the power of music to heal and connect — I would be so grateful for your support. Every donation, no matter the amount, brings me one step closer to sharing these songs with the world in the way they’re meant to be shared: with integrity, beauty, and care.

As a small token of gratitude, if you feel called to contribute $100 or more, I would love to send you a pair of handmade seed bead earrings. These can be for you or gifted to someone you love — a heartfelt thank-you from my hands to yours.

Thank you for helping me walk this lifelong dream into form. Thank you for listening. And thank you, always, for supporting me.

With excitement (!!), love and gratitude,
Heather
