Heather's Medical Fund, Part Deux

Donation protected
So it's been a while and I probably need to explain the situation to those who aren't in my immediate circle and have heard all this play out through offhand comments here and there.

I was diagnosed several (my timesense SUCKS so I don't know exactly how long it's been, I know that June was when Wonder Woman hit theaters and I turned Forty-Two, the age of Life, the Universe, and Everything... I think) years ago with a form of chronic cancer of the blood and lymph nodes.  At the time (though it took too fecking long by half) I was finally able to get the treatment I needed and the cancer receded.  I was on the path to remission.

But then the hellscape began that is the current environment.  I lost my oncologist because he moved to another area, and I wasn't able to communicate as accurately with my new one in the same clinic.  I stopped taking the meds (long story there about me and long-term/lifetime medications that really doesn't matter anymore) and they were monitoring me to make sure I didn't relapse.

The last visit I had with them was just about a year ago.  There were plans to get another full set of scans to make sure nothing was growing "in secret" as it were, but then the news dropped that as of last June, the clinic as a whole was shutting down.  So I haven't had an oncologist at all for almost a year at this point.

This past October, I started getting symptoms that I knew from before I was diagnosed the first time.  And then the lumps started showing up (yeah, multiple lumps, not just on my neck).  I need to find another oncologist and find out for certain if I'm right and this is the cancer back and I need to get treatment again.  This is complicated by the fact that the only one in this area charges $400 (for patients without insurance) for *the initial consultation alone* and I don't even know if there's an oncologist available anywhere else.

I will probably need more than just the initial amount I've put on this fundraiser, but this is a starting point that should get me through the first office visits and the diagnostic scans needed.

I'm not ready to be gone.  I have stories to write and games to play and people to cheer for online.  Any help would be appreciated.
