First thank you for visiting the page for my amazing strong sister Heathers battle with stage 4 Lung Cancer. Your support will go towards medical bills, mortgage payments,utilities, and treatments needed to help us get through this difficult journey. I have created an account tied to GoFundMe for my sister to help her live her life for TODAY.
ABOUT HEATHER:
To most of us she is known just as TIA but to many she is just known as being kind, considerate and helpful to those in need even if they are strangers. She will give you the shirt off her back even if she had nothing of her own to replace it. Living in Utah for the last 10 years she has been involved in her community and store where she was employed always thinking of others and always the top dog on collecting donations for that person and family when needed. She was raised in Hayward California and started moving to different states upon meeting and marrying the love of her life Doug Howard, from Utah. In those 27 years they have raised 3 sons two of whom now live in Utah, lived in AZ, NV, CALIF,and HI before settling back in Utah and just became grandparents to their first grand daughter born to son Cody Howard.
To me Heather is my Little Sister, My Best Friend considering when we were younger and growing up and had to "SHARE" bedrooms, clothes, tagging along who would of thought that back then we would grow to be close and love to "SHARE" things, become traveling buddys when the husbands couldnt make the trip She is my only sister and I was devastated when we learned she was diagnosed in March with lung cancer. Boy what a trooper she has been her attitude has from the start has been POW LETS GET THIS...
Unfortunately the Cancer hit harder than we were prepared to hear. It went from it looks like its slow growing can be operated and removed to we are sorry but its inoperable has spread to brain and blood but we can treat it.. WOW my heart broke in half but even with all this Heather has remained strong and positive about its not her time she has things with her family that she wants to do and to spend as much time with her granddaughter as possible.
She has been taken off work and now has the time to spend every day to its fullest but with little income coming in and a mortgage payment along with medical bills and other monthly expenses and with as much pride as her family has they cant do this alone with that being said , with humility and grace, I ask for those who my sister has helped, inspired, delighted and or made smile to help our family in this difficult time. She is on a chemo and immunotherapy regiment which is 4 chemo treatments with immuneotherapy to continue for a 2 year period unless of course the cancer doesnt respond and or spreads.
I wish that I could make it all go away but I cant Seems like all that I can do is make sure that Heather can enjoy her time and family and do life to its fullest to do a few things on her bucket list which I know one of them is being able to take her granddaughter, sons, daughterinlaws, and husband to her FAVORITE PLACE DISNEYLAND.. with the financial burdens piling up and adding additional stress on her health the money donated will be going towards her everyday living expense, medical bills, monthly bills, and continued treatments needed to help fight her cancer.
