Heather's Liver Transplant Recovery
Donation protected
Hello Family & Friends,
As many of you know, our dearest friend, Heather Landry, recently underwent a liver transplant on 12/9/21 (quoted by Heather as being "the best day EVER"), after suffering from an incurable liver disease for two years. Her road to recovery is a long one, and will include extensive therapy to regain her strength and the function of her mobility, as one side effect of her liver disease was nerve damage to her leg. While Heather is extremely positive and undeniably grateful for the miracle of her recent organ transplant, her recovery requires that an incredulous support system be in place, and that support comes at a great financial cost. If you would like to be a part of Heather's support team, please consider making a donation here to help relieve her of some of the financial burdens associated with her transplant and her recovery. All donations will go directly to Heather to help with medical expenses, copays, medicines that she will have to take for the rest of her life, and living expenses that come with her not being able to work for an extended period of time.
On a personal note, I just want to say that Heather and I have been friends for fifteen years. If you know her the way I know her, you can attest to the fact that she is undeniably one of the kindness, most empathetic souls on God's green Earth. She is always one to root for the underdog and stand up for what is right, kind, and just---even if that means going against the grain. She is also the friend who you can turn to in your darkest hour, knowing full well that no matter how sick she is, she will always lend you her shoulder to cry on. To quote the popular adage, "In a world where you can be anything, be KIND"---THAT, in a nutshell, is the epitome of who Heather is.
While I completely understand that some people may not have the monetary means to donate to Heather's fund right now, I respectfully ask that you please hold her up in your thoughts and prayers, and share this fundraiser with as many people as possible. I thank you, in advance, from the bottom of my heart, for the outpouring of love and support headed Heather's way. God bless you all.
Sincerely,
Sally C.
