Heather's Journey to Reconnect with Her Daughter

My name is Heather Bailey. 3 years ago I went to rehab after loosing everything to alcohol addiction. Before that, I was what you would consider a “soccer mom.” Little did I know a drink of alcohol would spiral me into someone I despised. After living in sober living and going back to college, then marrying the love of my life I have rebuilt my life. I am thankful my daughter had a father that would support her during this very difficult time for me. Since then he has not allowed me to see her at all after so many times of trying to communicate with him, our agreement was always 50/50 and we never changed anything through the courts. I wanted to come back into my daughter’s life in a therapeutic way as to not bring harm or cause anymore grief in her life so I hired a lawyer to enforce the parenting plan to restart some sort of visitation. After this, I was served with termination of rights papers from his lawyer. Unfortunately to fight this type of case I need 2500 more dollars that me and my husband do not have. I have 21 days to respond, I do not want to loose rights to my daughter. Anything at all would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
