My sister (also a daughter, wife, and mother) Heather has been sick since November 2016. She had her gallbladder removed and progressivly got worse. After multiple ER visits and doctor appointments, she was admitted to University of Chicago last week for further testing. They have concluded that the right side of her heart is not working and her only option is a heart transplant. They have no mobile pumps for the right side at this time so she has to stay there until she can get a new heart. That could be a couple weeks to a few months and in that time she must stay in the hospital. Traveling there (for her entire family) day after day is expensive as well as paying bills and keeping up with a mortgage. We are looking for donations for transportation, hotel stays, bills, and possibly medications or hospital bills.
