If you know anything about me, you know how tenacious I can be. I’m also fiercely independent, driven, energetic and creative. I am usually good at problem solving. On 12/13/21, I was seconds away from cardiac arrest. More details below. Today I am alive, but struggling. I’m basically bedridden. And again, if you know me, I cannot stand to sit still. Torture but I’m grateful to be alive today and for allowing myself the opportunity to heal. And I know I will be okay. But after 32 years of figuring things out myself, I’m asking for help. YOLO

Here’s the details:

After covid, my health has never been the same. I’ve had some horrible long term damage. This year, I’ve changed my lifestyle & career to cater to a path of least resistance, balance and prosperity. I am 8 years sober, I eat a healthy plant based diet and have always been incredibly active. I have been working on my own as a relief ER RVT & petsitter to allow flexibility and opportunity to rest, travel & play. And life has been pretty good.

Unfortunately, 12/13/21, I had a (suspected) autoimmune reaction to a covid related illness and developed supraventricular tachycardia from a rapid electrolyte loss. I had to be cardioverted in my living room and brought to the hospital by ambulance. Since then I’ve been through hell and fury and hospitalized on and off for terrifying heart issues. Thanks to covid I keep getting the boot once I’m stable and the wait for specialists is long. It has taken a month of suffering on beta blockers and seeing a total of 12 doctors and 24 blood tests & ER visits. I still don’t have answers. It is possible I may now have a heart condition, heart failure, neurological damage and autoimmune disorder. There’s a possibility I may need a procedure done on my heart to stop the episodes, mri, ct scans & more bloodwork. In the coming months I will be seeing many specialists, in the mean time, I cannot work. My bills are far beyond $5k so far and counting, and that’s with insurance. Consequently, I’ve lost my savings and my ability to produce income temporarily. My animals & I will no longer have a place to live as of the end of January. In March, I will be traveling to be with my family for a little bit. And I know I will be returning to the desert happy, healthy and with a home for me and my animals.

My main goal is to be able to safely support myself now until I am able to be with my family. But I need help to get there and literally anything will help.
