Heather's Healing: Urgent Medical Aid Needed

My niece Heather was recently in a devastating accident that left her with multiple serious injuries. She was airlifted to a trauma center and is currently being treated in the intensive care unit for a fractured pelvis, multiple cracked ribs, a broken eye socket, brain bleeds, and fractures in her back. She is in a lot of pain and faces a long road to recovery — both physically and financially.

Heather will require surgery, extended hospital care, and physical therapy. As if that weren’t enough, she had just started a new job and unfortunately did not have funds saved in the bank. The physical and emotional stress is devastating and overwhelming. She is looking at a very long road of recovery ahead of her. The doctors are saying she won't even be able to try and walk for at least 2-3 months.

To make matters even more difficult, Heather’s fiancé Jeff was also injured in the accident and is currently unable to work. He has sustained severe lacerations to the head and requires some time to heal. This has placed even more financial strain on their family during an already heartbreaking time.

Anyone who knows Heather knows how strong, kind, and independent she is. She is the mother of three and would never ask for help unless she truly needed it — and right now, she does.
