UPDATE 1/14:

My mom, Heather, is still in the hospital! She may not get to go home for days still and her respite care for her foster home is $100 a day! Her labs are not where the doctor would like them, there were spots on her scan showing more fluid and her pain is leaving her in tears. Please find it in your hearts to donate. She is miserable!!

Hello, my name is Katie. I'm fundraising for my mother, Heather, who just had an emergency appendectomy. During surgery it was found that the appendix did rupture. She will need to be in the hospital for 5-7 days and I know that it will kill her not being there for her clients (she runs an adult foster home) and my sister, who still lives at home. Plus her two dogs.

She is truly a pillar in this community and has worked with special needs children and adults her entire life. She still maintains relationships with them even though it is not her responsibility anymore because she truly loves and cares for the people she meets.

I'm hoping with the go fund me we can bring her some peace of mind with bills being paid and groceries being bought for the house while she's healing.

My mom is always giving to or taking care of someone else. She is thoughtful to her neighbors, her family, and all of her past students/clients. Now it's our turn to give back to someone so caring.
