People have been asking how they can help so I figured this would be the easiest way since Mitch found out that he won't get short term disability for a spouse. 

Back Story:
Heather went into labor Wednesday (1.30.19) night. She labored through Thursday (1.31.19) afternoon before they decided to do a c-section since she wasn't progressing. Celina was born at 2:26 pm weighing 6lbs 11ozs and 19 3/4 inches. She is more perfect and beautiful than anyone could have imagined. Shortly after in recovery Heather started to hemorrhage. They tried everything and multiple drugs to get her uterus to contract, but they had no such luck. The only option to save her life was to perform a hysterectomy. During the chaos Heather's ureters, that move the fluid from the kidneys to the bladder, got damaged. At first they didn't know what was wrong, but after some tests they knew why she was retaining fluid. She underwent another procedure (2.4.19) to have tubes that run directly to her kidneys to bags to empty the fluid. Every since then things have been up and down. They wanted to get her kidneys back up and running before the procedure that is scheduled for today (2.7.19) to fix her ureters.

Heather has now been in the hospital for over a week and has a long road of recovery. Mitch has been right by her side and has completely dived into fatherhood. With a week of his vacation time already used up and only one more week left, this will allow him to take as much time as he needs to help with Heather's recovery but also help take care of Celina since Heather is unable to do so. 

We want to thank everyone for their prayers and support. No one goes into parenthood and plans on this being the outcome, but Heather has been such a trooper and is going to be the very best mother to Celina.
