My mom has been having health problems in Arizona and instead of taking immediate action for her health, doctors were persisting she was fine and sent her home after giving her steroids.Later she was misdiagnosed with "Sciatica", and decided to move back to California asap.
She immediately moved back to California and was rushed to the ER because she was unable to walk and her left leg was cold and black.

Doctors preformed immediate surgery to remove an arterial clot located in her Aorta artery. Her surgery was supposed to be 1-2 hours but being how long she went without help, it ended up being a total of 8 hours. This type of clot has a mortality rate of 80%, luckily she made it into the 20% to survive this surgery.
Unfortunately, pieces of the clot had broken off and traveled into the arteries of her left leg and blocked circulation. Her leg was quickly dying. In order to save her life, Doctors had to preform an amputation of her left leg up to her upper thigh.

My brother who has been in my moms primary care is now with my Grandma while my mom stays in the hospital, since my mom can no longer work and was out of state her insurance will take over a month to kick in, in the meantime she will be released into her Mothers care but will need a lot of supplies to make her home safe for my mom.
